Snow Day

Last weekend Mother Nature dumped about two feet of snow on us, so Saturday Stephen and I decided to have a snow day. I really wanted to go outside in the sub freezing temperatures and play in the snow, but due to the lack of snow apparel such as a coat, gloves, and boots we decided to stay inside and play games all day. This was greatly needed since we both come home from work ready to just sit in front of the tv or computer to unwind every day.

We played game after game all morning without the tv or computer on to distract us--it was just the two of us spending time together bonding. I was supposed to finish shampooing my carpets Saturday, but that got bumped to sometime this week. After we ate lunch and talked we decided to have a triathlon.

This triathlon consisted of a game of pool, one game of darts, and one game of corn hulling (Corn hulling is the game where you have a board with a hole in it and you try to throw bean bags into the small hole). I ended up winning the whole thing. I was winning the pool game until I bumped the eight ball in a corner pocket giving Stephen the win, but I won the last two games!

We finished off the day watching the broncos lose to the ravens in the playoffs. We were really disappointed our team lost, but we had such a great day getting to know one other and being kids again.
