Now that the cat is out of the bag, I can finally update this thing. I sent out my announcements this week to my family that..........drumroll please.……I'M PREGNANT!!!!
We are beyond excited for this, especially since we've been trying for almost two years. It has been a real trial for us all this time; we've been to doctors and finally resorted to taking drugs, but thankfully I didn't need to take any before we found out, lol. When Becky first told me she thought she was pregnant it took everything I had not to scream out "me too!!!" Because that meant we would be due around the same time. I didn't say anything to her because I hadn't told Stephen yet, so I had to keep my mouth shut for a while longer so Stephen and I could have our precious moment of joy knowing we will become parents this fall.
I stayed home sick from church a few weeks ago feeling nauseous and with a severe cold on top of that. I waited patiently for Stephen to come home so I could tell him he was going to be daddy. I typed out this Mad Gab phrase on the iPad for him to read and figure out:
Wear sew app pea wear pray guy nut.
Wheeler Ivan things giving.
(We're so happy we're pregnant.
Will arrive on Thanksgiving).
It took him a few minutes to figure it out, but his reaction was priceless. The way he whipped his head around to look at me when it came to him he said, "oh, you are?!" In an excited little boy voice; almost like he was about to cry. I will never forget it.
So far this pregnancy hasn't been too bad, I mean, I'm nauseous 24/7 but I haven't thrown up yet. I hate going to work, I've gained weight so I feel fat and ugly because I don't care about my appearance because I hate having to get ready in the mornings. Mornings are the worst time of day for me; I can't leave my bed without eating something first. My sweet husband makes me toast and brings me ginger ale in bed before he goes to work every day, so I can face my mornings a little easier. We are so overjoyed words cannot express our happiness to make an addition to our family.
AHHHH good thing I read your blog, because NO ONE has told me this!!!! Congratulations!
