I don't have a whole lot to say, but I feel like I should update this thing. There isn't anything new going on besides work and sitting at home feeling uncomfortable as this baby grows bigger and bigger each week. I have, however, a final date to quite working as a "plant lady" for Cactus and Tropicals. August 1st is my last day of work and I couldn't be more excited since I've kept telling my family I was going quit for over a year now. I have really liked my job for the most part, and am sad to say goodbye to some of my favorite clients, and being able to get out of the house every day, but it'll be so nice to relax and get my house all in order before the big day.
Now that we are going to become parents I really wished we had done some more "adventurous" things together, lol. But we still have a few months to do that. I'm not saying we can't be adventurous after baby is born. But it'll be harder to get out of the house for a while. Besides, raising a family is going to the biggest and greatest adventure we will ever have, and we can't wait to get started!
We have recently been hanging out with some new friends that Stephen knew in Louiville the past few weeks, and it has been so refreshing. We took them to go shooting last weekend, but ended up taking a 45 minute leisure drive for nothing because a wild fire broke out in our shooting spot, so we had to turn around and go home. Instead, we went to wingers for dinner for three hours to watch the UFC fight. We also have plans of doing a camping trip next month which I can't wait for. I've been itching to go camping all spring, and have never convinced Stephen to take me the four years we've been married, so I'm excited to have some new friends.
We got our garden planted and flower beds weeded. It feels so good to finally feel well enough to do some work in the yard. Our garden is flourishing a lot better than I thought it would. Everything we planted has sprouted and are growing like weeds. Now it's time to focus on the inside of the house and paint the two bedrooms upstairs. I'm not too excited to redo the bedroom/nursery, but its so outdated and lifeless I figured we might as well.
As for a baby update, there are only two things I've been looking forward to before baby arrives, and that is to find out the gender (which will be in two weeks), and feeling baby move for the first time. I'm 18 weeks now so it could happen at any moment!
