Tender Moments
For the past week or so I've been complaining to Mom and Becky that the baby has been all up in my ribs and scrunched up on my right side. Well, this position hurts because I can't sit down or bend over if I don't want to feel pain, but last night when Stephen got home from work I came downstairs and asked him if my belly looked a little lopsided. He said yes, but that it wasn't too bad. I complained to him too that the baby wouldn't move out of this position. Later that night I was laying on the couch and Stephen came over and exclaimed, "holy cow, Christine, your belly is really lopsided!" And preceded to laugh at me. I said, "I know and its really uncomfortable." I took the blanket off of me and you could literally see the outline of the baby all balled up on my side, haha, it was the cutest thing ever! He was like a little three pound jelly bean bulging out my side. I massaged the area to get him to move down in a more comfortable position for my sake. He did move quite easily, but five minutes later he made his way back up to the right side again. He was squirming all night long, and when I got into bed later the bulge was still there. Stephen massaged him down, and again he moved right back to where he was. I guess my right side is his favorite, most comfortable spot! Even though it's uncomfortable for me, I can tolerate it a little better seeing and feeling his little body, and imagining the day I actually get to hold him in my arms.
