Mommy's Little Shopper

I went grocery shopping for the month with Zander by myself a few days ago. This was the first time going alone with Zander and I was dreading it. I took him once when he was around six weeks old and he screamed and cried the whole time, so I had to drop everything and go home. I usually wait for Stephen to get home to watch him or I wait and go on the weekend, but we really needed groceries and I can't wait forever; I'm going to have to take Zander with me at some point. So I did, and boy was I pleasantly surprised. He was the best behaved little boy! He didn't make a peep the whole time we were there.

I wasn't just afraid of how Zander would do; I was also afraid of how I was going to have room for all my groceries with his giant car seat in the cart. It all turned out so well, even so, that I spent extra time in the store just because. I had quite a few people look in my cart at him and comment on how cute and well behaved he was. Made me a proud mamma!
For the first little while he was just complaisant. He didn't move a muscle for the longest time. His eyes would move to look around, but he never lifted his arms or wiggled his feet or even turned his head. He was just there as content as could be.

Then He started to "wake up" or "snap out of it" so to speak and smile and laugh as we strolled the isles.
And at the end of our trip he finally nodded off to sleep.
