Double Take

Yesterday I had a weird experience. The two boys were in my bathroom playing in the bathtub while I was in my closet trying to figure out what shirt was going to fit me being two weeks postpartum. Zander and Lucas were laughing and having a good time. I peeked into the bathroom to see what they were up to. I saw Zander sitting on the edge of the tub smiling at me and I thought, "something isn't right." He looked like Zander but was it him? I stood there for a few seconds trying to get my brain to figure out what was off. Then I poked my head in the door and actually saw Zander sitting on the other side of the tub. I had been looking at Lucas the whole time! He just looked so grown up and a lot like Zander in that moment. I have come to realize how quickly the boys are growing before my eyes. Lucas has become as heavy as an anchor overnight since he is no longer my baby. I can't hardly lift him anymore compared to my new eight pound baby girl! And Zander is maturing into a handsome blond hair, green eyed boy.
