This morning we were reading a poem with actions from the "Friend" about being good helpers, so I tried teaching the boys how to make a heart with their hands. Zander was getting frustrated because he couldn't make a heart. He said, "Look! I can't do a heart! It's just a badge! I can only make a badge!"
Even though he was mad and frustrated I couldn't help but laugh. I thought it was so cute that he immediately associated the shape he made to be a badge because he wouldn't even know what a badge would look like if it wasn't for his daddy who carries one around. I told him it was awesome that can make a badge like Dad's, and that immediately put a smile on his face.
His dad is his hero; he loves him so much, and every day asks me when it's going to be Saturday because then dad doesn't have to go to work and he can stay home and play with him. Zander even went so far as to tell me he likes dad more than me. I love how much they adore Stephen and look forward to seeing him everyday when he gets home. It melts my mama heart.
