We spent a cold, rainy, muddy Memorial Day weekend in Elba at the cabin even though it isn’t finished just yet. It rained the whole way to the cabin, but we got a spot of sunshine for a bit after we unloaded the car, so Stephen and I took the razr out for a spin up Frank’s Hollow. It’s been years since I’ve been up there. It was beautiful—green, wildflowers everywhere with the smell of fresh rain. The kids had a fun time building forts inside and outside, trying to build a fire, and playing games. We spent a couple hours at the hot springs too.
The more time I spent in the cabin the more I fell in love with it. Scott has really done a fantastic job on it. He’s very talented. We had a nice relaxing weekend despite the dreary weather.
This boy right here radiates joy. I can’t stand how cute he is. I love all his many expressions and the love he gives to everyone. BUT don’t let his cuteness fool you; he can hold his own.
