After Hannah's birthday we spent some time with Stephen's family at the cabin in Bear Lake for a weekend. We stopped and did a one mile hike up the Limber Pine Trail. The kids had a lot of fun with that. There were all sorts of cool trees, birds, bugs, and beautiful views. About halfway through the trail Grayson needed to go potty and it wasn't #1. I had to think quickly so I pulled his underwear down and sat him on my arm off the trail and let him go. I wasn't thinking about him having to pee at the same time, so as I had him on my arm while my other hand was holding his pants down and away from his shoes so he wouldn't get them wet. Well, because my arm was in the way he peed on my arm, haha! I had to use some leaves to wipe his bum with and then I used more leaves to hide the evidence so other hikers wouldn't step in it.

Bear Lake With The Washburns
Twin trees
This big tree is one of the oldest limber pine trees at over 560 years old!
Beautiful view of Bear Lake in the background
The kids loved playing on the paddle boats. We got one good afternoon to play in the water and for the kids to go tubing. The other half of the day we took the boys and went shooting. We had to get milkshakes, of course, and had a sibling dinner out. It was cold! I was at the beach with a sweater on the whole time. It rained--we got a really good thunder and lightning storm one night. We enjoyed Raspberry days, and tried to attend church, but got a flat tire that ultimately made it so we didn't get to church on time, and since we weren't on time we were unable to get inside the church because there were so many people visiting. There was a man sitting at the door turning people away. All in all it was a fun little trip but we definitely didn't get to see our family as much as we would have liked. I guess we'll be looking forward to Christmas when we can all be together again.
