Girl's Weekend in a Nutshell

All I have to say is that one day of shopping is NOT enough! We had so much to do in so little time, but we certainly enjoyed every minute we got to spend together. All the girls camped out in the living room on air mattresses while I was snug in my bed :) (that's one of the perks of being the hostess).

Becky dyed KoLei's hair dark which turned out to be so cute! Then we settled down to watch a chick flick.
The next snowy morning we made our way around the Salt Lake Valley in search of bargains and great deals on which to spend our money. We were out ALL day.... for 12 hours. We all bought stuff for ourselves, children, and husbands. By the end of the night we were all starved, tired, and achy but it was all worth it.

KoLei showing off her spoils to us while we waited for Mom who was trying on dresses.

Last week I was taking a gander at Becky's blog and read her story about her first gray hair. I was laughing, mind you, that she had already found a gray hair at the young age of 25. As it turns out while we were in Ross waiting for everyone else to finish up their purchases, Becky and I were engaged in a conversation. I was doing the talking when Becky leaped from her chair and exclaimed, "What is that?!" pointing to the top of my head. She quickly stepped forward and plucked a GRAY HAIR from the top of MY head!! I was shocked and speechless. I took the hair from her to examine it because it looked like a piece of plastic from the tag off a shirt attached to one of my hairs. I couldn't believe it, but there it lied my first gray hair at age 22. I took a picture of it for proof to later show Stephen, but it will not be shown on this blog because I gagged at the site of it.

Sunday came all too quickly and we have nine o'clock church. I didn't think anyone would be able to get up so early to get ready but here we are all bright-eyed and bushy-tailed ready to go.

Poor Becky was so embarrassed by her short curly hair, but I thought it looked really cute. She should do it like this more often.

  1. Mom looks SO pretty! No wonder your sunday school teacher thought she was our sister.

  2. I know right?! She looks at least 10 years younger than she is. Every time I come home to visit I also think to myself, wow my mom is hot!!
