Zander Update

Zander is growing SO fast! Like all babies do, but his face is so rounded out now that he doesn't have a neck anymore.

-He'll be three months next week, but has been wearing three month clothes for about three weeks now.

-he loves to stand up! He is the most rigid little boy I've ever seen. It's either lay down or stand up; he does not like the sit up position. When I try to burp him and sit him up its like his legs turn to wood and it's impossible to get him to bend over.

-When I try to swaddle him (he hates to be swaddled) he makes sure his legs are straightened out and his arms are out of the blanket.

-he smiles all the time.

-he loves to watch tv. I try not to have him downstairs very often during the day, but when the tv gets turned on all of his attention is on the screen. It cracks me up because even when I have him on the floor while changing him  or playing with him with the tv behind his head, he'll cock his head back all the way so he can see the screen.

-he is very alert and attentive. He likes to watch and look at things all around him (hence the tv watching). People comment on this all the time because of his age.

-he is not ticklish in the slightest, so I have to come up with other ways to get him to laugh and smile.

-a lot of people think he's older than he really is, even though he's really small for his age. I think it's because his facial features make him look older and more mature looking. His has big eyes, nose, and lips, and "distinguished eyebrows" as Becky puts it. His eyebrows give him so much personality from his facial expressions. All these things are what make him so cute!

-the best way to calm him down is to hold him upright. He doesn't like to be cradled much anymore unless he's super tired. But even then I have to have him upright until he eases into dreamland.

-he still sleeps pretty well through the night only getting up once around 5:00-6:00 am.

-he likes taking baths. He's starting to splash around a bit with his hands and he loves kicking his feet around.
