Christmas Eve was pretty fun as we made our way home from Twin in the afternoon. We made cookies to leave out for Santa while Dad ran and got Chinese takeout for dinner.
This Christmas didn’t go like I thought it would. It was lots of fun, but the kids didn’t get up until 7:30! Stephen and I were making bets on what time the boys would sneak upstairs around 5:00 am but we were way off. Then it took us like two hours to open gifts. Santa gave Lucas and Hannah new scooters and Zander his first skateboard. Stephen got a leather jacket and we both got a new kitchen aid mixer. The kids got really spoiled by Santa this year for sure; they had a whole cushion full of toys and treats all to themselves.
We opened gifts under the tree taking turns being Santa while we waited for breakfast to cook, then the kids opened every gift they could get their hands on to play with them. Zander got another Star Wars LEGO set and beyblade arena, Lucas got a kitchen play doh set, play food, and a dinosaur set, Hannah got a play kitchen, and Mr. potato head bucket.
Stephen had fun smoking a turkey for our Christmas dinner and the kids loved it as you can see on Lucas's face. We're so lucky to have a dad\husband who likes to cook and is willing to do it for us all the time. He gets better and better every year. Merry Christmas!
