Christmas Festivities

We had our annual Christmas Washburn Christmas party at Loren and Debbie’s this year. The kids couldn’t wait to meet Santa and sit on his lap especially Hannah who got really antsy and kept wiggling to get down for her turn. Then when it was her turn she shied away and looked sad for her picture, even though she was excited to see Santa. And Santa (Loren) didn’t disappoint the kids. Both boys got avengers legos and Hannah got a Minnie Mouse ride on airplane and all three of them were so excited to open and play with their new toys. It is always fun to see family, chat, and eat lots of food. We love our Washburn family!

Next, Stephen and I took the kids to see the lights at Layton park one warming evening. The kids loved it. It was nice to be able to walk around without freezing and see the kids get all excited as they shout out which animals they see. Some of the animals even had a button you could push and hear them make sounds. They loved running through the light tunnel, and afterward we stoped at a cookie shop for a decadent cookie that they couldn’t get enough of. It was a really fun night out with the kids.

Last, but not least, we went to Twin for a couple days for the Pettingill family Christmas party. We had everyone there but Scott and Sydney; even Becky was able to come this year! We had dinner, a spiritual thought by grandpa, a blessing on the family, sung happy birthday to Jesus, guessed the pot (which Charity won), and has our gift exchange. I didn’t even take pictures this year because we were too busy having fun. And to top it all off we woke up to snow on Christmas Eve before we went home. It was beautiful.
