In December right before Christmas break started Zander took his belt test. It was the last day the dojo was open before it closed for the holidays. So Zander earned his green belt last week! Way to go Zander! This belt took him close to 2\3rds of last year to earn.
And I couldn't resist taking a picture of Zander caring for his little sister when she needed some help. Hannah came upstairs after her bath and asked me if I would help her brush out her hair. It's long and straight, and always has lots of snarls and knots in it somehow. I was unloading the dishwasher and trying to get dinner at the same time, and without hesitation Zander told Hannah he'd brush her hair for her. Her eyes lit up and she took him downstairs. Moments like that are my favorite--seeing and hearing my kids care for and love one another.
