Zander's First Black Eye

Zander got this beauty after he fell off a chair in the kitchen one night. He was reaching for something across the counter, but the chair wasn't close enough. He lost his balance and went down head first hitting his face on the edge of the counter top. I picked him up and looked at his face; his whole cheek bone was dented in with instant bruising. Poor boy!

"Are They Done Yet?!"

I haven't baked any homemade dessert of any kind since early November. These cookies have been frozen in my freezer since then, so I decided it was time to bake them. Zander thought it was so cool he could see into the oven when I turned the light on. He was also excited to eat a cookie and couldn't hardly wait. Would you if you saw some M&M cookies baking? Yummmmmm!

2015 Highlights

I feel like 2015 was a quiet year for us. We didn't get out and do much, due to a new baby, but here are the highlights:

We took a family trip to Hardware Ranch. Brought back some memories for me.

Zander has gone through some major changes since the beginning of the year. He has learned to talk, say his own prayer, walk up and down the stairs without holding on to the railing, his first song he sang all the words to was "The Wise Man and the Foolish Man", he has developed a love for guns, lions, elephants, cars, dancing, and chocolate (or treats in general). He dislikes to get dressed, or eat vegetables, and doesn't like it when daddy goes to work. He loves pancakes, his baby brother, playing guns, and running and jumping around the house. He is a great little helper who helps with me chores, and has recently started asking me if he can take a nap after lunch.

I made a cute baby quilt for Lucas with the help of mom, of course.

Stephen and I celebrated six years together

My little family caught a super virus--we were sick for many weeks

Zander turned two

Lucas turned six months. He loves to smile and giggle, and usually lets anyone hold him, but favors his mama. He can roll over from his tummy to his back, and sit up unassisted for a couple of minutes. He loves getting his diaper changed, but not getting dressed or left alone. He likes to play with Zander in small doses, and drools SO much. 

Stephen and I have been blessed with two little boys whom we love very much. We are hanging on for dear life on this journey through parenthood. We love each other. We love our Father in Heaven. We are grateful every day for the things we have, and are looking forward to see what 2016 has in store for us.
