Tahitian Dance Luau
My third year doing dance, and I still love it. I ended up tearing my hip muscle this year (how do you even do that?) But I danced for 6 dances this year! AND I was front and center in most of them. I'd say my confidence has soared this year. Now I need to work on stage presence and smiling while I perform, lol.
This was an earlier performance for a young women's activity and Hannah got to come with me and participate too.
School!
School started and here we go again. It's bitter sweet when school starts. Everyone is excited to be a grade ahead of where they were the year before, but that just means that it's been another year that you get older and start to move on to more things in life. Some are exciting, some are scary, and some are fun, and one less year that I get to have you here at home. I am so proud of all my kids and who they are. They truly are some of the best kids.
I have a middle schooler! Zander started 7th grade, Lucas is in his last year of elementary school in 6th grade, Hannah is in 4th, and Grayson started 1st grade.
Hannah Turns 9!
Happy Birthday to my Hannah Banana Girl! The one name that I did not want people to call you was Hannah Banana when you were born. I remember telling that to Stephen at the hospital because I didn't want you to feel like people were making fun of you. But 9 years later and inevitably everyone calls you Hannah Banana and you love it so much it is your favorite nick name.
You are growing into such a beautiful girl, Hannah. We are proud of you and who you are. You are thoughtful, kind, and fun loving. I love that you aren't afraid to try new things, and you love life. You make things fun. We love you very much.
Hannah was so excited to celebrate her birthday at Bear Lake with all her cousins this year. She was sad that Dad had to miss it, but we FaceTimed him so he could join from Virginia.
Bear Lake
On our way to Bear Lake we stopped at Tony Grove Lake just for fun. I'm so glad we did! What a beautiful place up the canyon. We spent a couple hours walking and exploring. Next time we'll bring swim suits and maybe a kayak.
The Rest of Summer
It always warms my heart when I see the kids working and playing together and getting a long. Lucas is showing Hannah how to make waffles.
He just decided one day that he's going to make a chocolate cake with homemade marshmallow fluff and a chocolate ganache frosting. Lucas loves being in the kitchen
Grandma Roberts Birthday
Grandma Roberts turned 99 years old this summer!
