This is the kids' favorite time of day...and mine.

It's Raining, It's Pouring!
It's about time we got a good rainstorm! The smoke from all the fires near and far have been so bad this year. So bad that we haven't been able to see the mountains that we live right next to. This was an incredible storm with thunder and lightning, giant rain drops, wind, and hail. The boys were so excited to play in it! The hail was a good penny to quarter size, and just down the street the hail was as big as golf balls.
Samesies
These two inadvertently dressed the same, and with both of their new short haircuts it was hard to tell them apart! They can be best buds or the worst of enemies at times, but their love for each other is evident, and I love them. I am so glad they have each other to lean on...both figuratively and literally.

Bear Lake 2018
This year a lot of the family headed to Bear Lake for a good five days to a week. Since I had been gone all summer with the kids I only wanted to stay a couple days especially since Stephen wasn't going to be able to go because of work. So Rachel offered to take Zander with them a few days early which, who could say no to that?! Little did they know that they would get sick of hearing the Star Wars theme song and anything else related to Star Wars for an entire week.
Meanwhile, we had ourselves a nice time at home, or rather I did, not having to hear the boys' constant fighting. Lucas, Hannah, and I had fun shopping and playing together. As it turned out, Stephen was able to go with us to the lake for a few days, so I was really grateful for that and I think Stephen was relieved to be able to go too after a long month of working late.
Apparently Zander ran straight into a door while at the cabin giving himself a bloody nose and a big goose egg on his forehead that matched Lucas's from a few weeks ago. He had a great time with his cousins. We met everyone up there at the end of the week and spent both days at the beach, Stephen went paint balling with the boys, and we couldn't leave without having a shake. We rode rzrs, and motorcycles, played games, ate good food with great company. I love my family!
