Differences

The difference in personalities between Zander and Lucas are night and day. When Zander shoots me and I fall on the ground dead he jumps on me and shoots me again for extra measure. When Lucas shoots me and I'm dead he drops his gun and runs to me trying to hold my head up and kisses me on the lips to make sure I'm not really dead.

Last week I took the boys to institute and dropped them off in the nursery. When I came to pick them up one of the moms who watched the kids said, "it looks like you have a lover and a fighter!" Lucas was going around giving everyone kisses and Zander was play fighting (super heroes) with another boy. I had to laugh because those words couldn't be truer.

These babies develope their personalities in the womb and are blessed with special gifts and talents from our Heavenly Father. I remember being so excited to snuggle and love on my little Zander when he was born, but he was SO rigid and stiff and very independent. I can count on one hand the number of times I got any snuggles out him as a baby and most of those were when he got sick. He would never even lay his head on my shoulder as I tried to rock or walk him to sleep at night. Lucas, on the other hand snuggles me every chance he can get. He still rests his head on my shoulder or against the side of my face when I'm trying to put him to sleep. He willingly and readily gives out hugs and kisses multiple times a day.

I celebrate their differences. They are each special and unique in their own ways. I love my boys!
