Summer Time Fun

Here we go again to stay with grandma and grandpa in Twin Falls for a couple of weeks while Becky is in town. It's always nice to be able to get together with family especially cousins for these littles. Hannah and Ezra were pretty much inseparable; they played together so well the whole time. Actually, I was surprised at how few incidences we had with kids arguing and not getting along. Anyway, we went to visit Grandpa Pettingill, we visited with every sibling, had a girls day out shopping, and had Brad take us fishing on this trip. But it didn't end there. We came home to rest for a day and then headed back out to play at Cherry Hill and celebrate Dad's birthday. We spent an afternoon at the park playing games, running races, and eating good food, and ended the weekend with Grayson's baby blessing. It is during times like these that I look back at everything we did and an so grateful for my family. I am so blessed to have such close-knit siblings so we can enjoy each other's company and have lots of fun when we get together.

Grayson fell asleep like this in his chair.
He also got hit by flying chunk of ice that was kind of a freak accident.

Hannah fell asleep like this.

This is the quietest I have ever seen my kids as they wait for the sacrament to be passed. It has been quit a change to having the sacrament in our home instead of going to church, and it's going to be quite a change going back to church when we are able to full time. But what a blessing it is to be able to still worship and partake of the sacrament when we are not permitted to attend church.
We got up at 5:30 am to go fishing before our girl's day shopping. Brad took us to Crystal Lake down in the canyon. What a beautiful morning! We didn't get one bite, but we sure had fun. Zander was a natural at casting his line. Lucas was all over the place, and Hannah was timid, but enjoyed it too. Kimball had a hard time getting his pole to work for some reason, it was always one thing after another where he couldn't get his line out, the bait would be eaten off, it would get caught on something, or the whole reel fell off his pole, but he was so eager to share his knowledge and help with everyone else who was just learning to fish including me. We all wished someone would have caught something, but we did see some ducks and muskrats swimming around.

Grayson is all ready for Cherry Hill!

 Happy Birthday Dad!

4th of July

There was a beautiful full moon on the 4th of July. I couldn't resist.

Recently

I had to get some more pictures of Grayson in here. He has turned 3 months old and growing fast! He can roll over from his belly to his back, he is smiling and laughing a lot more, he loves to suck his two fingers, and is only waking up once in the night to eat. He is such an easy going baby, and we love him.

The kids had a slumber party in the living room. They love getting to do this.
Poor Hannah toppled head over heels while playing on the playground at the park and bumped her head pretty good. To say it left a mark is an understatement.

Father’s Day 2020

Happy Father’s Day to our most favorite dad ever! Stephen, we wouldn’t know what to do without you. You are the jack of all trades of dads—you do it all. When you are done with work you come spend time with the kids playing with lightsabers and board games, cook, clean dishes, change diapers, read, sing,  bathe the kids, tuck kids in bed, give mommy kisses, teach us, and, love us.

Lucas Turned 5!

Due to the coronavirus we weren’t sure if Lucas would be able to have his birthday party this year with friends, so we decided to go to Twin Falls and have it at grandma and grandpa’s house and have a cousin sleepover. He wanted to have a water party, so we packed up our pool and squirt guns and away we went! The kids had a great time playing with all the water balloons and the piñata. Tyson brought some air soft guns that all the boys played with out in the tall grass of the pasture. Stephen has fun playing him against everyone else. Sally and Karen came for a quick visit to say happy birthday and meet Grayson. The cake turned out awesome! Stephen and I both worked on it together because it was such a huge cake and I just didn’t have enough time to get it done by myself. What a fun weekend. We can’t wait to go back to grandma’s.

Lucas, you make our world go round. There is never a dull moment when you are around. You make us laugh so much. The world would not be the same without you in it; you’re kind hearted, loud, snuggly, passionate, and goofy. We love you!

Lately

We just can’t get enough of this little guy. Grayson is 10 weeks old and his siblings still cannot keep their hands off him. They lay next to him with their blankets, rub his new fuzzy head, hold him, lay on him, give him toys, and try to keep him from crying. They are all so attentive and loving. I’ve only gotten Grayson to laugh twice so far; he’s a hard one to get to laugh. He’s also decided that he loves bath time. He kicks his feet and splashes as hard as he can. He can also keep his head up pretty well now while he’s on his tummy. These kids sure do know how to push my buttons, but boy do I love them!

“Mom! I can stand up while I hold Grayson now!”

This girl decided to jump into the pool in her pajamas right before bedtime.

He fell asleep for the first time on his own.

The kids got the deck all dirty, so I made them mop it up. They ended up playing for hours.
