Hannah's Birthday!!

Hannah has been talking nonstop about her birthday since last year. She was SO excited to get baptized on her birthday, but then Stephen's niece threw a wrench in our plans and decided to get married on Hannah's birthday. So to make up for it Elizabeth asked Hannah to be her flower girl for their ring ceremony.

We had Hannah's party at Classic Fun Center with all her cute friends. we have:
Indie, Sophie, Macklee, Hannah, Evelynn, Charley, and Maggie

Happy 8th Birthday to our favorite daughter! Hannah, you are so beautiful, and kind, and full of life. You have a cute smile, love to snuggle stuffed animals, and play with your little brother. You love life and like to be outside riding your bike, roller blading, or hanging out with all your friends. You are clever, and such an amazing person. We are lucky to have you in our family; we love you!

After the wedding ceremony we had Hannah's birthday at the park before heading to the reception venue for the ring ceremony. Apparently she almost was not going to be the flower girl. She refused saying the basket she had to use was NOT a real basket, but Elizabeth was able to calm her and talk her into doing it. Hannah did a great job despite the fact that she was really nervous all day about the whole thing. She followed Elizabeth and her groom all over the place. She's really attached to Elizabeth.

I have to give a shout out to Elizabeth and Jordan. They have been so patient and loving with Hannah and making sure they didn't steal the whole spotlight from her birthday. Elizabeth played her guitar and sang Happy Birthday to Hannah and gave her a gift to open at her reception. I was so touched by her love for Hannah and for them both the make her feel special on her special birthday. Hannah will be baptized next month.

Ririe Camping Trip

I was really looking forward to our family camping trip this year. I asked mom and dad if they wanted to go camping with us last fall so we could get it all planned and reserved. We decided on Ririe, Idaho because we had free tickets to Bear World this year and I was excited to use them with our kids. Anyway, what once started out to be our family trip ended up being with more siblings and cousins and we loved it! It was such a blast. We even ended up getting three RV spots right next to each other so we could all stay in one area. That was so nice.

We started the night off with dinner and celebrating Dad's 68th birthday. Even the neighbors yelled Happy Birthday to him, haha. I got Dad a few different odds and ends that reminded me of him. I found Spook and Katie for him, gave him some tissues for his snake bites and a razor, some nuts, and a D&B gift card. It was a lot of fun reminiscing about our childhood.

The next morning we picked up our sand boards and headed to the St. Anthony Sand Dunes. We stayed there until lunch time sledding down the dunes. The weather was pretty perfect. Next we drove the pot hole filled road up to the ice cave. This was supposed to be the highlight of our trip. We had lunch there and got to the mouth of the cave only to find that the ice had melted flooding the entrance so we weren't able to go inside. The water would've gone up to our chests. SO disappointed! I've only ever been to the cave in the fall and winter so I wasn't aware that it would do that in the summer.

The next day we drove out to Mesa Falls and did some hiking for half of the day. It was gorgeous. We had lunch at Big Jud's and swam the rest of the day at the hot springs.

Saturday we packed up and drove home. Except we were going to use our tickets to Bear World...only to find out our tickets don't work on Saturdays. Grrr! This was the other highlight of our trip, ugh. But we also had free tickets to the newer Yellowstone "zoo" so we went there instead. It was not near as good as Bear World, but we made the best of it.

Our air mattress kept loosing air every night. It obviously had a hole in it somewhere.
